The Alumni Association

St. Mary of the Plains Alumni Association office, the Sister Mel Eesa Center, is located on the bottom floor of Hennessy Hall. It was the SUB, student union in the late years, and the laundry in the early years. You have access to the office by entering the west door by the circle drive.

The telephone is a busy part of a days work in the Alumni Office. The telephone company transfers any college calls to this office. Many SMP alumni as well as former Marymount College in Salina, call for information to receive a transcript. Many of your employers call to verify information about you from your alumni files. This is just one good reason to keep your files current at all times.

Any memorbilia left from the days that SMP was open is located in the Alumni Office. Personnel files, alumni files, archives, and gifts that have been given are located here. All annuals and former campus papers and publications are available.

Dues are $15/year or whatever you can afford. However, this has not been a priority to many alumnni; therefore, the financial status of the Association needs to be built up. No mailing can be done if there are no funds available. The telephone bills comes every month as well as postage and all those incidental things that need to be done in an office. No payroll is made, but funds are desperately needed in order to continue the activity of the Alumni Association.
